Coming to an Art Gallery Soon

This is Jordan's creation. It is hard to make out by the picture. The face is made from a piece of nylon so the texture is really cool.

Jackson's self portrait colored with waxed crayons

I wish that you could really see the colors in this one. The watercolor is a little off in the photo. We were really impressed with this one. It is in Hawaii and there is a main house and a guest house. If the waves get too high then you have to move to the house above.

All 3 of the older kids are very talented when it comes to art and creativity. That is one thing that they all have in common.

Logan 4 Months Old

I Love to Eat and it Shows
Rolls upon rolls and so yummy- that would be our 4 month old Logan.
He continues to eat his way through life but he has realized there are other things too! Sometimes he loses his concentration now.
He loves to just laugh out loud and even if one of the kids looks at him he will start laughing. He has started the arch your back trick so maybe Mom wont put me in the car seat! Still falls asleep whenever and wherever he wants even if it for only 5 minutes. No sleep schedule but we will still keep him!

Exersaucer Time

Logan was not included in our economic stimulus check but he certainly got stimulated from the action of the exersaucer!
After school, Jordan and I put Logan in this to play. His eyes just kept getting bigger and bigger, then focusing on something for a long time and then he would just start laughing. A big success for his first try. This will only last about 3 more months and then he will be onto the next thing.

Jordan's Skate Party

Jordan has left her mark on the skating rink
Jordan and 12 friends enjoyed two hours of skating fun. It's kind of funny because Jordan is not the most advanced skater but that is what she chose to do with her friends. The DJ played great songs and they played lots of games out on the skate floor. As part of her invitation she gave each girl a pair of knee high socks to skate in.
Taking a break and enjoying some cookie cake.
Not quite sure how she pulls this off but after the family party and skate party she got to have a sleep over. This was with her closest friends: Taylor, Marianna, Gemma and we sure missed Alie who was out of town.
They did the usual: ate pizza, lots of chocolate, opened presents, did make overs and watched a movie. All was calm when I fell asleep at 10:30.
Jordan got so many nice presents from her friends.
So, it is official we have an 11 year old daughter and she is on party detox right now.

Jordan's Family Party

Jordan really loved all of her presents. I thought that they were perfect for her. She got a docking station for her ipod that is very cool, clothes, ear rings, a game to play with her girlfriends.

Jordan has never been one for cake so each year I just make a brownie cake with their age cut out.

Party Gone Wild

We seriously had so much fun last night celebrating Jordan's birthday. She wanted pizza so that was our dinner but at least she did not ask for some gourmet meal that I would have had to cook. Opening the presents was great. I think that she was really happy with her loot! Then the inner wildness came out in them. It got loud and out of control very quickly. It was just a moment in time where we were all together and no worries in the world. At the end of the night when the kids were in bed and the party cleaned up, Tom and I were smiling. This is what it is all about!

Happy 11th Birthday Jordan

Birthday tradition at the Roberts house is that the kids come down in the morning and see their birthday decorations and presents. Jordan wanted pink and black for her colors. I dont know why she chose that but I obliged. She actually wanted to set her alarm clock for 1:18, the time she was born to start her 11th year but I told her she could wait a couple more hours.
She got to open her cards and one present before school. She is already $40 richer! She also got to indulge in Chocolate Chip muffins by her request.
Off to school!
I will bring Jordan lunch today at school and they still share a birthday treat with the class. Then tonight we will have our family party. Her party with her friends is this Saturday.

Hip Hop Recital

1 trophy, 2 congrats balloons, 12roses, successful recital = 1 happy girl
She got to perform 2 of their dances. Jordan was a standout in both. That is what you call being a big fish in a small pond.
Glad Uncle Chris could make it.

Gemma & Jordan

Larson said thank goodness for the cookie table.

Jackson was happy for Jordan but was also happy to get out of there. We teased Jackson about buying him a tutu because they had some really cool UT tutus for sale.

End of Season Tournament

The teams best game & Jackson's best game!

Unfortunately, they lost by one run in extra innings.
Everyone was a hitter. Jackson was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's. Had some good throws to first from left field and 3rd base. The most exciting moment was his high pop up fly that he caught at 3rd. He was so excited that he was jumping up and down and then realized he could throw to 1st for an out. He almost got him with a great throw!
Jackson was so happy and that is what mattered most.

Jackson's personal cheering section.

The most perfect way to end the season!

LWBE Talent Show

"I Think I Love You"
performed by Jordan Roberts
As a 5th grader, Jordan finally performed in the talent show.
She really did an awesome job. Her dance was cute and she performed it well. We loved watching you Jordan! What a brave girl to sign up to do this without having a friend do it with you. You were the star!

Other performing stars!
Gemma, Jordan, Alie, and Taylor

We were there rooting you on! Aunt Char, Mom, and Logan were there also. Jackson and Jordan may have a competitive edge with one another but many kind words were exchanged between the two of them with Quest Fair and the Talent Show. See, you do love each other!

Aunt Char's 4th visit in 2008

We are the luckiest family ever to have an Aunt Char Char that finds ways to always come and visit us! 4 times already this year and we are only in May! Tom was out of town all week studying for the CFA in Dallas. Colby was in Atlanta for the National Science Fair, so the opportunity was there for her to come to Texas. I know that she is wiped out when she leaves because we never stop and the kids never give her a break. Not to mention our own crazy routine. We like to shop and eat and we do allot of it!

Friday night Aunt Char was able to be at Jordan's talent show.
Aunt Char got to be at Jackson's 1st and last tournament game!

And of course, she got all the love little Logan has to give!

We love Aunt Char and are so thankful for her coming to see us when we live so far away.

Happy Mothers Day to Me

Mother
No Greater Calling
Thank you for all the homemade gifts and cards that came my way today. You all made me feel so good. I love being your Mom!
Logan
I look at him in amazement every day that he is part of our family. We are so blessed that this little baby made it to us! Wanting something so badly and then having it taken away can really make you appreciate what you have. Logan you have completed our family and you are so loved by us all. How spoiled will you be? You are so lucky to have big siblings all around you. You are such a happy baby and you make Moms heart happy every day!

Larson
Larson you make Mom smile. You have such a fun personality. You are so independent and I forget you are only 4 years old. I love our days spent together before the big kids get home. It seems like you should be going to Kindergarten in the fall but I am so glad that you have another year for us to hang out. We like to call you our "linebacker", you are so big and so rough with your Mom. I am sure it is all in love! You give me the best hugs in the world. I love the way you pat my back when you hug me and I love that you do not wipe off your kisses anymore. Just looking at you can melt my heart.

Jackson
I have to say that you are the Mamas boy. You have always aimed to please me and that makes for a very easy relationship. You are so loving to me and such a good boy. I see so much of your Dad in you. If you grow up to be like your Dad you will be doing pretty good. You are the compassionate one in our family. Never lose that quality. I love to see you grow and develop. I often picture the man that you will become. Until then, you are my sweet boy and I love you so much!

Jordan
From the time that you were born and they said the words "its a girl!" I have always been thankful for my little girl. Since having our 3rd boy, those words have meant even more. I am so blessed and lucky to have a daughter. Our relationship took on a whole new meaning when we became the only girls in the family. A new bond has been formed and one that we will be able to Cherish. I know a sister was wanted so badly but that decision was made in heaven and I think God knew what he was doing when he sent another brother. Jordan, you are so much like me. I see so many personality traits that could not be any closer to mine. We truly are two peas in a pod. I look forward to all our girl talks. You are my girl, I love you very much!

Mothers Day 2008

A Tribute to Mom

Mom you are loved in so many ways!
I was so happy to be with you last Sunday.
You have a good heart and the best seamstress that I know!
Thank you for all that you have done in my life. I have learned many life lessons and have become the Mom that I am from them.
Happy Mother's Day!
I love you
Buddy

Mom/Daughter Achievement

Our Achievement night was to celebrate our Moms and Daughters. We had some fun games to see how well we know each other. The girls did a skit and they served us hot fudge brownies with ice cream. Today on Mothers Day the girls were able to give their Moms each a 5X7 of their picture together.
An amazing group of Mothers and daughters!
