Happy First Birthday Logan

January 25th, 2009

Our One Year Old

Lets get this party started!

Liked his cake so much, was licking the plate!

Was not a big fan of the parachute with bouncing balls thanks to his maniac siblings that went totally wild.

We had a nice family party with pizza, cake, and presents. What more could a one year old need?
We Love You Logan!

Watch Me Grow

Logan 1 year old

Watch Me Grow
From 1 month to 12

Its Ok that you are thinking we gave birth to a little baby chimpanzee. All of ours came out that way. Quite a transformation from 1 to 12 months. Evolution scientist would love to get their hands on these 12 pics to prove their theory of chimp to man.

AAAHHH! The Pace Slowed Down

It took a few days into January to get the decorations down but when that happens I'm a new woman. I love the decorations but I love the January "spring cleaning" that occurs right after. The house seems to be uncluttered and so organized. Tom and I thrive on that just in case you did not know that about us. The kids had to start back to school. BOOOOOOOO!!! That did get us back into more of a schedule so that is the positive out of that. What we did like about January was just that family time to do things together and we have really enjoyed it. Now all the spring sports and all 3 boys birthdays!

Our first Pine Wood Derby
Tom and Jackson designed the car and Jackson painted it. We may have to work on his color palette for next year. I loved that he did it but boy did all the other participants take it to extremes. We will have to step up some next year.

Lets just say that the family had fun and not mention what place his little car got. There is always next year Jackson!

This was a serious 2 hour play dough session with the kids. The best part is the clean up. Its called a broom and a trash can. In my old days I use to collect all the little pieces and divide them into the right colored containers. Really??? Did I do that. I did. How silly I must have been.

Play time at Main Event and dinner at Jasons Deli, one of our favorites.

We planned on taking the kids rock climbing over Christmas but did not get to it so we did a date night with the whole family. In the last year, we have noticed that Jackson climbs or swings from most anything. He climbs up poles with amazing ease. One of my favorites it to watch him do 3 complete swings around a stop sign pole without his feet touching. Maybe he will be in Circ De Sole some day. Well, his rock climbing skills are about the same. He looked like Spider Man climbing up and he just did one foot after the other. We are taking him back soon but this time we are putting him on the advanced walls. Lets make it more challenging for him. Jordan got to the top and rang the bells 4 times but she likes to take a more leisurely route.

Little Mans First Haircut

I kept wanting to pull the front up in a bow, so I thought it was time for a haircut.

Logan marches to his own drum, so I just assumed he would be a nightmare for his haircut unlike his older siblings who just sat there. I was pleasantly surprised that he also just sat there trying to figure out why this woman had scissors and was pulling on his hair.
Ta Da! Not too much of a difference but I have realized this kid has some hair.

Larson is obsessed with our neighbor kid, Zane. Zane is a great kid and has a real mohawk. It fits Zane and we love it on him but just not ready for Larson to cut his hair off like that.. He seriously was begging me to let him do it. I did not cave in but told him they could style it up before they were done. Larson was pretty pleased and from that moment on he now wants to be called Zane. No, really, he is serious about this. He has really confused some kids at school and some of his other friends by insisting that is his name.

New Years in San Antonio

Back to Sea World for one last visit this season. The kids just love the dolphin cove (except Logan, who apparently has a huge fear of just about anything at Sea World on this particular day) You can hear him screaming in the video. He was shaking to death every time that Shamu would come out of the water.

The day was a little cooler but fun was had without doing the water rides.

The park was decorated so nice for the holidays.

Dinner on Riverwalk for New Years Eve. I love the Riverwalk! It so so beautiful and festive this time of year with all the lights. We had a fun dinner with the Mariachi band and all.

I cant seem to get him to pose for the camera much anymore. Dinner is always crazy with Logan. He was doing his nice scream until food was in his mouth and eventually ended up on my lap.

I need to invest in a full length mirror for Logan. He was quite entertained by it.

Approaching midnight and look who is wide awake. This does not surprise anyone does it?
We had a long day and everyone but me was asleep to ring in the New Year.
Happy 2009 to Everyone!

Logan 11 Months

Logan at 11 months

He just attacks the bear and tries to flip out of the rocking chair so I am glad that these monthly pics are coming to an end soon. I think that we have another Larson brewing here. Logan just does not want to be left out of anything even if that means not sleeping at all during the day.
He stands by himself for a second and just pulls up on everything. Conks his head several times a day, cries and then goes back to what he was doing.
Still mumbles that Dada word
He has started to wave to us a little. Cant always get that one on demand.
He is eating better and actually has this real high pitch scream if the bites do not come fast enough for him.
Loves being outside and LOVES his new car that we push him around in. He will even sit in it for a long time and watch our front yard baseball games.

Lazy Days of Christmas Break

Jackson loves building and Leggos is probably one of his favorites with Star Wars being the top category. He put this little ship together in 3 days and that was not even working on it for very long each day. He wants the Emperial Death Star. I am sure that he could handle it even though it says for 16+.

Jordan has a Christmas tree to match her room. How fun was it for her to have it and be able to look at the lights.

Jordan, like the cat, has taken a fondness to her new moon chair. You can usually find her here with her new stuffed I-dog, listening to the i-pod, reading the Twilight series, and texting on her phone. She says all that she needs is a flat screen on her wall. Good luck with that one Jordan.

Penguin or Cat?

This cat is so weird. We see her sitting on her hind legs all the time. She looks like a little Prairie Dog looking out our window when she does that. She also sits with her front legs bent back like a platypus. However, she sits, it is now in Jordans new moon chair. We seriously have not seen the cat much since Christmas. She spends all of her time up in Jordans room. She loves the new chair. Hey, she has definitely been causing less trouble!
