December Fun

A beautiful Christmas concert by Jordan's Choirs.

 Larson collecting cub scout badges.

So much fun to be out enjoying a beautiful December day as our school kept advancing in the playoffs.

Our Texas baby: Camo, jeans, and boots.
Cute as can be Jordan off to do some Christmas Caroling.

Larson, Liam, and Noah teamed up for the River Ridge business fair.

150 Christmas ornaments later.
Larson kept breaking the glass balls!

Then we made extras for Jordan and Jackson's Vandegrift teachers.
Jackson doing a little cookie decorating.  The primary presidency gave each kid a cookie kit.  Im not sure if Larson or Logan got theirs as I saw Jackson and Jordan with the cookies.

One of Austins great Christmas traditions.  You can decorate any outside tree.  Not with nice Christmas ornaments but with as much tinsel as you can and they are usually themed.  So fun to see them everywhere at Christmas.
It took us long enough but we finally decorated a roadside tree.

VHS Senior Choir Picture

 Choir certainly was Jordan's favorite.
Mr. Feris and these kids rocked four years.
Nothing but 1's in all Sweepstakes, numerous awards, and Jordan's Senior girls choir was picked best in the entire state of Texas.
That choir will perform next year at a National banquet but weird enough a 1/4 of them will have already graduated and not be with them anymore.

I cant say enough about how much I loved watching Jordan in VHS choir.  So many events that were attended in all 4 years. I truly loved watching it all.  Loved Mr. Feris' 30 min Fall concerts!!  Go Feris.
I traveled with the choir so many times and served on the choir board.  Choir was so good for Jordan.  She loved it and I loved watching her love it.
Sweepstakes, Varsity Choir all 4 years, Madrigcal Festivals, UIL's, Broadway Nights, Fall Concerts, Winter Concerts, Spring Shows, private lessons, lock ins, Party boats on the lake, Chamber, National Anthem at VHS football games, dreaded singing Valnetines,  Buckees,  FOOD (everything included food with Feris), Banquets, San Antonio missions, wearing the same tiny dress for 3 years and then not being able to get into it at first concert senior year!!! Yes, she grew out of that dress but had also grown in so many other ways.
Loved being a part of her VHS Choir!

Senior Cross Country Banquet

Niki, Aaron, Jordan, Zameer, and Corrine
VHS seniors

As tradition goes, they each get a brick with their name on it to be placed at the beginning of the cross country trail at Vandegrift.
All the girls

The best friendships ever were made through cross country!

We love Sydney

As I watched yet another event come to an end in her Senior year, I just sat and watched with a very  v full heart. I could not be more proud of this girl.
The 4 years went very fast.
Cross Country will always have a huge part of Jordan's and my heart.  I started her out on a hard path and it wasnt easy but we did it together and the experiences that came from it was far beyond my thoughts.
I had an idea that became something life altering.

Christmas Ready

Memories from when I was a little girl have stayed strong when it comes to my house decorated at Christmas.  My Mom was very crafty and she didnt  leave one space not sparkled with Christmas.  I remember sitting in our living room with all the room lights off and just the Christmas lights on.  It was so magical to me.
It takes a while for me to get all decorated but then it is so nice to turn off the lights and just sit with all the Christmas lights on.

This is a favorite of mine.  Saw this tree many years ago in a Pottery Barn magazine.  Stole the idea and have loved it every year.  Filled with photos of our families memories from the year.

Santa is one of our latest additions.  He is the cutest thing ever and makes me so happy walking by him.

We have a few nativities but I love the placement of this one.  When you walk in you can see the bright light shinning on it.

We are ready to enjoy the Christmas season.

Dallas Weekend

Jordan wanted to go to Dallas for the weekend to visit with a lot of her church friends there from EFY.
We decided to take the boys and make a weekend out of it.
We dropped Jordan off and headed to Six Flags for their Holiday in the Park.
Chimp is one lucky monkey.
Texas size fun.
( I think that 6 Flags actually uses that slogan)

Old Fashioned cars.  One of my favorites!

The boys in lime green were laughing their heads off.
Logan wanted a picture with the manger scene.
Weather could not have been nicer.  It felt like fall and the leaves were beautiful.  Just 4 hours away in Austin, we dont see the leaves change.

This was the first time at this park for us.  Jackson was in heaven with all of the new rides.  It was all decorated for Christmas.  We had such a nice day today with the boys.

We took a dinner break.

After dinner, Jackson and I went back to the park to ride all the big coasters.
A good thing there was a chill with the night air.  My internal temperature was rising with each ride we did.  I love them but my body really doesnt.

Dallas Cowboy Stadium across the street.

 Day 2

A very awkward photo with dancing reindeer!

Larson and Logan going on the upside down coasters.
Great weekend for all.
We picked up Jordan and headed back to Austin.
