Roller Coasters

Jackson had done Rollercoasters in 4th grade for Quest.  No surprise that Larson would also want that same topic.  Too bad I didnt save Jacksons board!

In the midst of madness in which we call the month of May I will gladly take the Mom of the month award.  I had told Larson that there was no way that I would be making him a costume like I did for Jacksons but in the end I just couldnt say no to him.

He gave a great presentation!  Very confident and yes the class loved him coming in riding the roller coaster!

Middle School Play

Middle School Plays, not my favorite form of arts to take in for the evening.
Jackson was in the theatre arts class and all the kids must be in the school play.
Jackson even knew not to expect much.
When the teacher announced that the play would run for 45 mins I was like oh boy BUT....
from the second these boys came out on stage they had me captivated.  They were boys dressed as girls to get out of a crazy house.  Jackson was the only "real boy" in the play.  Just to see the boys in dresses and girl clothes was enough to keep us laughing.  I dont have any idea what the play was about but it turned out to be a real funny night.

Jackson had all of his lines memorized and didnt seem to mind at all.
He participated in a very funny death.
I have to say good job to the 7th grade boys for being good sports and entertaining us for the night.
Jordan was so proud of her brother.  Now she thinks he is going to join theatre and all of a sudden start singing.  Jordan, I think we leave that up to you.

Legally Blonde Goes on Pioneer Trek

Not having grown up in Utah, I never experienced going on a Pioneer Trek.
A Pioneer Trek???
Not even sure what that entails.
I got released from the young women program in December so I was not a part of the planning for this.
Jordan was very excited but I didnt think that Jordan was ready for something like this.
I wasnt sure what to expect but I didnt think that it involved the cozy elements of home.

Jordan and I drove out to the ranch that was about 2 hours away.  She arrived late due to a choir competition, imagine that!  It was dark and she got nervous upon her arrival.  I think that she saw the size of the handcarts that would now be her new best friend for the next 48 hours.  I was very surprised to see them be so big.  The last company was waiting on Jordan.  As she was struggling with her gear, she yelled "Where's the bellhop?"   Im not sure but I dont think there were bell hops to help load up the carts.  So away she went down this long dirt road in the middle of now where at night.

Good news, when she arrived home on Sunday she had nothing but good things to report.  Her favorite youth conference ever!  This event was so organized and planned out so well.  There were many stories Jordan had to share with us.  They did sunrise sacrament at 6:30 Sunday morning.  The boys had on their white shirts and ties and passed the sacrament in wooden trays that they had made.
I'm so thankful for all the leaders in this Stake that sacrifice hours upon hours to help raise these kids to be young women and men that we can be proud of.

Logan's Soccer Debut

Logan wasnt going to play on a team right up until we were at the sports store and he saw Larson getting his new equipment.  All of a sudden Logan became a soccer player.

Im really not making this up, within the first minute of his very first game he already had his arms folded across his chest yelling at a girl for touching him.  Oh Thank you Coach Kevin for containing his emotions.  Logan didnt like getting touched, or beat to the ball, and he certainly did not like being scored on.
There were some cute moments for #55.

He has known Jake for a few years being the little siblings of Larson and Jaxon.

So the game that I bribe Logan with a treat, he turns around and scores his first goal.
Super fun to watch his excitement.
Logan would not watch the ball, if it was headed towards his goal he would run as fast as he could and just stand in the net and sometimes he would actually kick the ball out.  Maybe his future is as goalie.
It was all about fun and some cuteness too!

Lone Star Soccer

Larson just played his first season of soccer with Lone Star in the JR. Academy

We haven't experienced sports outside of our neighborhood or schools until this point.
Larsons team that he had been playing on, all of a sudden broke up with kids going in different directions.  It wasnt a long thought out decision but a quick one to get him placed on a team.
He was placed on the #1 team for his age.  Thats good news if you like being the bottom player on the best team.  Larson had some work ahead of him

Watching this team play was so much fun for us.  Such a huge step up with the action on the field.  Most of the kids had been together for 4 or more seasons.  Another soccer game??  Awesome, it was a highlight of my week to go and watch Larson and his team.

He played Goalie for a couple of games.  Thats one position that I do not like.  Too much pressure!

Larsons coach said that Larson was 100% physicality which means he is lacking technicality and that is what they will be working on.  Larson would be working harder than the others and that was overcompensating for lack of technical skills.
OH Boy, here we come summer lessons!
We know Larson can do it and we look forward to his fall season!!!

RRE Picnic

A fun little lunch with Larson.  I was suppose to bring Subway but the line was too long so McD's was only other choice.  Larson is always accommodating and very grateful but I think that he was a little embarrassed that I brought McD's.  After all he technically is a 4th grader.

Kona Ice and book fair was an "ADDED"bonus.  The boys love it though and I really enjoyed being with the boys.

Track Season 2013

Second year of track has come to an end.
Track of course is the other sport but Jordan was still able to improve on her times and the best part was a great new friendship was made.
Sydney is a Freshman running a 5:38 mile  (that's pretty darn good) and she is a great girl.  I love that Jordan is able to connect with the right friends.  Its just as much fun to cheer Sydney on during her races.
Pretty sure this is Jordans PR for her mile.   6:15.  Next goal is to get to 5:59.
Logan's blurry photography
Track takes a lot of time out of her spring semester but it is off season training for Cross Country.  Running never has an off season!  Cross Country training starts May1

Little Feet, Big Feet

Jacksons first cleat and his giant cleat he wears now!
The baby cleat has made it through the boys and is retired now.
