Special Edition Hunting Post

Jackson and a 275 lb boar he shot with his Dad and Uncle Chris.  It is the largest boar ever taken off this 3,000 acre ranch near Llano.

Tom was there to help hoist the boar onto the trailer.

Everyone wanted a picture with this boar.

Two for one.  Tom snuck up on a pack of wild hogs and ended up taking down two with just one shot.

Notice how this boar tilts the trailer hitch.

Giselle and Petra In Austin

While in Texas, they had to show their UT connection.
Jaden loved the dogs being at the house all the time with her.  She had playmates 24 hours a day.

These two are very very furry and had to be combed outside a lot.
Kids fought over who could give the doggies treats.

They could not get enough of the dogs.  Every time they woke up or would walk in the door you could hear them playing with the dogs.

Took them out on the Steiner Trails.

One of my favorite pictures.
Giselle and Petra helping keep Austin weird.

I had some help with walking the dogs but mostly me doing it.
I wouldnt have imagined it any other way.

There were a couple "incidents" while staying with us.
Guilty one in the background.
Logan was the best pooper scooper ever.

Getting ready for Christmas.
They had lots of shopping to do.

Christmas Eve and everyone sleeping except for the animals.

The pups got a turkey dinner from Santa.

Petra eating her corn on the cob.
The turkey lasted a couple of minutes before she had the stuffing all torn out.
Petra gets on her back and does doggy crunches all the time.
Just trying to keep her tummy fit.
They got real comfortable very quickly.  There was no sleeping on a hard tile floor when there are nice soft couches to sleep on.

They got to have a sleepover at Colbys house.

The dogs were originally going to stay with us for 3 weeks but we managed to get 7 weeks in.
It was really fun having them.
They aren't yours to take care of forever but you just get them to have all the fun.
It was really sad when they had to get in the car and go back to Hilton Head.

New Years 2013

New Years tradition continues with a drive down to San Antonio.
The weather did not look good but we decided to go and make the best of it.
Ends up that the rain stopped right when we got to Six Flags.  It was not very cold at all and we were one of the very few families there.  The kids did not even have to get off of the rides.  They could just stay on and ride again.

By 5:30  we were ready to go because we had ridden everything that we wanted to numerous times.  We headed off to dinner and the hotel.

Larson and Mom had a date down at the Riverwalk.
Jordan was able to see her friend Chris.

Happy New Year!
