Christmas Day 2012

The don't come off the stairs until given permission rule still applies even when there are 3 extra cuties!
Tom's family
Fred's family
The cousins
2/3 of the animals
My favorite picture of the day.
Batman got some new wheels!

Jordan was really surprised to get Taylor Swift tickets.
Uncle Chris brings the big guns for Christmas Gifts.
The kids got tree mail.
For their reward challenge they each had letters that had to be put together.

A special portrait was painted for Grampy with some wonderful words about his life.
Of course this brought tears to his eyes.

Petra and Giselle loved their new turkey dinner toys that Santa brought them.
It made them sooooo happy!
Off to the movies

Christmas dinner was at Uncle Chris' house.
We had a very nice night there and I got a break from the cooking.
Here Uncle Fred was giving Jordan some dating advice that her Dad just did not one to hear.

Brewer and Aunt Buddy in matching sweaters.

It wouldn't be Christmas dinner at Uncle Chris' without some fireworks!
The cold air blew in and our warm weather is gone for a little while.  BRRRRRR!!!!
It feels like Christmas out there.

Christmas Eve

All the cousins except for Jake.  Jake was hunting with Uncle Chris and would join us later this day.
I decided to take the dogs with us on a hike.  I didnt plan on getting us lost, Logan wearing flip flops which broke on the trail, or not having water for anyone.
1 and 1/2 hours later we made it to the car all safe and sound.
Time to get back home and start cooking.
Its quite a feat to cook a big meal like this but I did it and got it on the table for everyone to enjoy!
The best part was family circle in Austin town.
Jim Dad and Nanci

Cousins hanging out.
Singing Christmas carols, family time, Grampy reading The Night Before Christmas, and Santa's bells ringing.
Logan put on his new jammies and got super hero powers immediately!

The night had just begun for us.
 Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the house
not a creature was stirring but Petra and a couple elves.
Everyone was snug in bed awaiting the excitement that was ahead.

Very little effort went into this years card so I was very pleased with the outcome.

Logan- 4 years old
Larson- 8 years old
Jackson- 12 years old

Jordan was so mad- she got her braces off right after this but that was a surprise so I couldnt help it.  I certainly was not going to redo the pictures.

Jingle the Elf

Jingle our Elf arrived riding a reindeer on the Christmas tree.

Larson was really begging for an elf to come to our house.
We have never had this tradition before but I thought it would be great for the little guys as they dont always get things just for them.

Being such a good boy that Larson is,  he would get a little concerned if our elf was a little naughty.  He really didnt like it when he toilet papered their room.

He thought it was more fun when the elf played nicely.
So one morning Larson and Logan woke up with red paint on Their noses and guess who had a paint brush in his hand.  I loved this one the best and I didnt get the reaction that I thought I would from Larson.  After all this is the kids who faux hawks his hair everyday and has it painted colors quite often.
Well, Larson was ticked off.  He was really mad!!!!   If he could have touched the elf I am pretty sure he would have punched him right in the face.  I was so taken back by his reaction.  There are no pictures because Larson immediately took the paint off of his own nose and Logans.
Im sorry that the elf got you so mad Larson.
He was just playing around with you.  Even Rudolph was his sidekick!

Larson Has Talent

The dribbling

Now take it to the basket!
He also perfected the no hands pogoing!
He just had us laughing!

December Happenings

Our boys are just best friends.  Jackson made sure that Larson was never left out and Larson does the same for Logan.

Larson made a great Christmas wreath at Boy Scouts.  Jaden got comfortable in it immediately.
Baked cookies all day.  I do mean all day.  Logan just doesnt ask to help and 5 minutes later off to something else.  He stuck with me until the last Christmas tree cookie was baked.
December was very warm and this was the most beautiful sunrise from our back balcony.
Jordan had some girlfriends over right after school got out for Christmas break.  They seemed to enjoy themselves letting loose and not having school to worry about.
