Aunt Char and Pat Pats Visit

I cant believe it but Char got my Mom to come down to Texas for a visit!
The weather was in the record lows the entire time she was here.  I hate that #1 becuase it is cold but also becuase I would have loved for her to have a nice break from the cold.
Anyway, that did not stop us.  We bundled up and went out each day.  I could say that with Christmas in just a few weeks, we had a lot of shopping to do but more I would say that we shopped every day becuase Aunt Char was in town.
Char was getting Mom all fixed up with some much needed clothes.
I'm afraid my Mom has been let in on our little secret of shopping at Macys.
Once my Mom got home she called me to let me know the Macys one day boot sale was on Thursday.  This cracked me up and yes, Charlene has ruined another Foss girl.

The puppies arrived with Aunt Char.
I think that I look like a Golden Retriever.

Mom helping with the ginger bread houses.  Ok so Jackson just appeared for the picture.
I know that the others loved working on them with Grandma Pat Pat.

Logan woke up and saw Grandma Pat Pat for the first time.  He went right to her and said "sorry our other guy is dead.  I saw him buried in the ground.  He was my favorite.  He knew how to run the trains".  Sorry Pat Pat, just his way of saying saying hes sorry that Papa died.

Mom loved seeing what Jingle the Elf was up to each day.

On our way to church.  Jordan wasnt ready so missed out on the picture.

Aunt Char ready to brave the arctic while walking the pups.

Another day of shopping and some CPK.
Some snuggly bunny time.

Logan loved getting the cart for Pat Pat at Walmart.
We did an early Christmas on Pat Pats last night here.
Logan got a cool Minion Monopoly Game.

Larson scored on a big new soccer goal.

Jackson got Moviehouse gift cards.
Jordan is sporting a new pair of cool combat boots.
Thank You Grandma Pat Pat for all the gifts!

Aunt Char with the littles!
Mom looking at her calendar that we got for her.

I think Petra won this tug of war.
They opened an early stocking full of cute cute Christmas Trees.
It has been a great visit.  So glad that Mom could be here and especially at the holidays.
The puppies always get sad when their Mommy leaves them.

I had a wonderful week with my Mom.  I try to tell her that she should hang out here more often.  It has been a long time since I have seen her this happy.  She looked great.  Sure the new clothes looked good but the smile on her face made her beautiful!

Chuy's Blue Santa Parade

Downtown for the Chuy's parade.

You know the slogan, "Keep Austin Weird"???  There are certainly a lot of weird things in this parade.  Thats what make the Chuys parade so much fun.
Having the big balloons is  really cool.

Every kid brings a new toy to the parade.  There are lots of pick up trucks spaced on the parade route.  At a certain point, the kids go in the street and fill the trucks.  It is really cool.

 The trucks are always overflowing.
Then Jordan and Jackson's youth group went downtown the next week and helped wrap the presents.

Logan was interviewed while watching the parade.  We had people text us to say they had just seen him on TV.  Poor Larson was so bummed out.  He had just walked away from Logan when they brought the camera over.  Maybe next time Larson.

Austin Santa comes in a cool hot rod.  Where's your sleigh Santa?

Thanksgiving Day

Larson was very persistent.  He wanted to run the Austin Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning.

Im glad that he kept asking.  This was a very fun way to start the Thanksgiving Day.

Larson is ready for his first 5 mile run in hilly downtown Austin.

and there off!
Jordan was excited to run this race with Larson.

We ran with 24,000 others.  It was crazy.  Strollers and dogs allowed.  I have never been in such a crowded race.
This was an easy one for Larson.  He really liked it.

Jordan found Sydney and Preston at the finish.

 The women of the kitchen.

We spent the rest of the day eating and just lounging around.  Tomorrow will be the rest of the Christmas decorating.

Thanksgiving Break

I love that we always have Thanksgiving week off.  We did not go anywhere but just hung out in Austin.
James and Jackson spent the entire week together.
Larson conquers his fear of heights and keeps up with the big kids.
Logan sticks to glow in the dark putt putt.

Jordan took Logan to Jumpstreet.  Because she was 16 Logan was able to go on the big trampolines.
He loves it there.

We ended the week with getting the big tree up and ready for the Christmas season.
I love these weeks.  The kids just have a lot of pressure on them and times like this I just see them relax.

River Ridge Elementary

Mrs. Oldham, Larsons teacher just sent these pictures to us.  This was an experiment they did in science.
We do love RRE and feel very lucky that we did not get rezoned for next year!

Regional Choir

This is Jordan's 5 year in a row of making it to the Regional Choir.  This is my favorite concert of the year.  When you take the best talent from each school and put it together it sounds pretty amazing.
Jordan continued on to pre-area and auditioned for area but did not make that cut.

Gemma is always at regional with her and that is so nice since they dont attend the same school.
