Another Day, Another Tooth

Larson lost another tooth at church today.  He is cracking us up that they are all out within a short amount of time!  He didnt even want to put the tooth under his pillow so I put it under mine in front of him.  Wish I had a hundred dollar bill to show him in the morning!

Larson's Soccer

The boys on this other team were a grade older and about 10 feet taller than each of our boys.
Larson did not let them intimidate.  He got right in there and battled.  Our boys lost by 3 goals but it actually was a very close game.

 Larson is our fastest kid.
By looking at pictures we also realize that he has many game faces.

This is the first season for throw ins.  Larson's technique is straight out of the book.

Totally fun watching his team play soccer.

Good luck in the tournament!

Just Earning a Little Money

I looked over today and the toothfairy was sleeping on our couch.
I guess she decided it wasnt worth her time to go back to toothfairy land.
All in one week!

Putting #4 to Work

So at what age is it that they stop wanting to help?
When they are little they are so eager to help in any way.

especially when it involves being outside and water.

Roberts Boys Hunting

 Jackson is a hunter.
Gets so excited about going and I dont think it even has anything to do with the fact that Uncle Chris thinks hunting is a very good excuse for skipping school on Fridays.
This was Jackson's first pig.  He has already eaten some meat from it.
This wasnt Jacksons turkey but he likes to take some credit just for the fact that he was there.
Uncle Chris is so good to the boys to take them with him to the ranch.
Uncle Chris is also very good at sending me pictures of the whole trip!
Blue Bonnets were all over the ranch.

This 2nd trip was especially exciting for Larson as it was his first hunting trip since turning 8 years old.
I think he was very scared to shoot the gun when he was talking to me but apparently he couldnt shoot it enough.
Lars and Jaxs get the back of the Polaris
 Hanging out back at camp
Jackson got to drive the Polaris all over the ranch.
As gross as this may be, Jackson has come a long way from passing out in science class after seeing a little bit of mold to cleaning his own pig.
Larson fell asleep holding his camp glow light!

Star of the Week

Larson as Star of the Week
This is his friend Francessca that he got to hang out with.
Larson was the very last kid in the class to be picked.
This wasnt the easiest thing for him as he gets very excited.  Each week he would come home and say I didnt get picked.  When it got down to the last 2 kids and it wasnt him, at least he knew it would be the next week.
Francessca got to play some soccer with Larson.

 Play the piano....
 some football..

 and basketball...

His favorite was flying Larson's remote control helicopter.

 They built a Lego maze.
Larson made his own posters to take in to school telling about himself, his family, and his favorite things,
Larson is a star to us every week in our family.  He is so happy and brings something good and positive to each of us every day.

Mary Poppins

This was Jacksons very first Broadway musical.
He was totally blown away at how good it was.  They had technical difficulties during a scene and they had to bring down the curtain.  I had never experienced that during a show.

I enjoyed the show so much and being able to be with the 2 older kids.
Yes,  Jordan got to walk away with a t-shirt.  She loves them and this scene was so good!

Youth Conference 2012

So excited for it all to begin.
Amazing weekend ahead for these girls:
Mary, Jordan, and Karina
Amazing group of kids to hang out with all weekend.
All kind of games and relays.
Devotionals
Bonding time
 Sleepovers
Scriptures on their phones
 Dances
 Good Friends!

Boys getting ready for the retro dance.

So glad that I am a Youth leader and to be able to chaperon this weekend.  Its not that I'm hanging out with Jordan.  I think she tried to keep distance at all times but I was able to experience this weekend.
I am so thankful for church and the programs that they have for these teenagers.  It doesnt make Tom and I feel like we are doing this alone.  Leaders all around helping build these kids into incredible adults.
It is a perfect environment for learning about the gospel, being with their peers, making relationships stronger, and having so much fun all wrapped up into one weekend that they call Youth Conference.
Everyone is looking forward to EFY this summer.  They say it is even 10 times better than Youth Conference.
