EPCOT

This is the first time that the kids can remember being at Epcot.  Another big thank you to the Gamble Family for the park hopper pass.

Larson of course thinking that the picture will look like he is holding Spaceship Earth.

For the last few years we never really thought about taking the kids to Epcot since they were young.  OK, there was not enough time to even start to do everything that they wanted to.  Jackson really wanted to go and see the Land tour and see over grown size vegetables and touch and do all the exhibits.

Jordan really wanted to spend a lot more time at each country and look in all the stores.
They really like Mexico.

Test Track was being renovated but they did get to go on Soaring for the first time.  That is a very cool ride!

Epcot fireworks have to be some of the best!
Such a great way to end our incredible day!
4 very tired kids back to the car and to the Kane house.
Next year will be a full day at Epcot for the kids to explore more.
I guess they really are growing up.

Animal Kingdom 2012

What must it be like to wake up as a kid and be told get dressed kids, change of plans.
The next thing they know, they are at Animal Kingdom!
This day was a last minute addition.  The Kanes were pretty busy with their schedule for the day so Caroline got her friend Kristin to get us into the park.  Her husband is an executive at Disney.
So amazing that she will come to the park and just help us get in!!!  Love this girl for many reasons.

So I told the kids this was just a bonus day and we would just do their favorite things and just be relaxed the entire day.  Ends up that they were able to walk on everything and have great seats at the Nemo and Lion King show.  Such a fun and relaxing day.

Logan loves these two so it was perfect that he got to visit with them.

Jordan just said ,"proooofile picture"!

Dino Land
Big kids get to ride the big Dinosaur ride and the littles have 2 for them to ride.

Mt. Everest, a very fun roller coaster.  We had to take turns but Jackson, Jordan, and Mom got to ride.

Jackson got to ride 2 times with the parent swap.

It wouldnt be a day in Orlando without downpours.  We were prepared with our ponchos and we just kept moving.  It really doesnt put a damper on things.  Ha! Ha!
We were getting ready to leave with the rain but decided to do the safari.
We have been on the safari many times but this was one of the best.  Animals everywhere.  An ostrich would not get out of the road so we got stopped for a while and got to watch the giraffe up close.
Such a great ride.  Feel like you are right in Africa.
So glad that we did that!
Our day wasnt over with-
On to Epcot!

Night Time Swimming

The Kanes have an amazing house that just happens to come with an amazing pool.
So much fun for the kids to just go out there and play around.
Sometimes even more fun at night!

Friends Through the Years

In 17 years a lot of changes can occur.
One constant has been the Roberts/Kane relationships.
Was so nice for the 4 of us to go to dinner.

Blizzard Beach 2012

Just one more kid and they could have played each other in a full on basketball game.
That is a lot of kids just looking at them all.
Pretty amazing!

Here to enjoy a day at Disneys Blizzard Beach.
The kids were so excited about this day as this year their Dad would be with us.  Last year was a perfect day except that Tom was in Texas on that day and the kids really missed him.  All year they had talked about how Dad would be with them the next time.
The brave awards for the day go to Katie, Jackson, and Andrew who all took the plummet.

All 6 of us keeping warm at a snow resort.

A bucket sized Sundae even too big for our family to handle.

 Julia and Larson

Here's Andrew and Jordan, our first born.
They are 3 months apart and on opposite sides of the spectrum.
Andrew constantly gets the "how tall are you comment" and Jordan gets the "you are so small comment"
They have been friends since birth.
Best friends before any of those kids were born!
Jordan and Katie
2 girls that see each other usually once a year and are so happy to always be able to spend that time together!

2 incredible girls!

Another perfect day at Blizzard Beach!

Hello Summer!!!

With a quick over night drive (well 18 hours)  we are transported from school, schedules, CFA's to
SUMMER!!!
Love that word!

We arrived at the Kanes in Orlando, Florida on Sunday around 3:00.
Straight to the pool and cooking out.
Love this picture of the kids but our oldest Andrew was not home yet from practice.
We got a picture later with him in it.

Here are our 3 girls.
The boys have them out numbered.

So happy to be spending this week with TEAM KANE!

Jordan is Fifteen!

Happy Birthday to our girl!

15 gift cards- one for each year
plus a couple more little things.
Jordan celebrated more of a Mayfest than just a birthday.
It all started with her new bedroom and then an entire day out with Mom.
Then we got on to her actual birthday which was not too exciting as our schedules were all booked.
We finally ended her birthday on Sunday with a small family party.

Tracey had sent me a link for these cute little high heel cupcakes.
I went and bought everything to make them but had not gotten around to that until Sunday, the day of her family party.
Lucky for me I have a very good friend that came right in and saved the day.
Not only did she come and take Larson's baptism pictures.  She also helped with his program and stayed the entire Sunday afternoon until all of those cupcakes were finished.
Thank you so much Tracey (and Ben, Sam, and Dannelly)

We made Jordan stay up stairs while we stayed busy in the kitchen.
She loved them when she came down!!!
Was so glad that Tracey could see her reaction.

The last time that I made crazy cupcakes was when Jordan was 5 and they were ladybugs, butterflies, and caterpillars.  So I made them at 5 and 15.  I dont think I will have to make crazy cupcakes again until she is 25.

My new shoes happen to match her high heel chair.

New shoes, an outfit, and some accessories.
Of course throw in a new pair of cowboy boots and I will call that a very good birthday.

We keep this girl grounded but the only girl gets spoiled quite often.
Tom and I said the words out loud- we have a 15 year old!

Choir Banquet 2012

 Freshman year flew by.
Jordan had a great year with many accomplishments.

Off to the choir banquet.

Bouquet of flowers for me being on the choir board for 2012-13.
This was the first graduating class of seniors and it was a very nice evening for them.
I had such a fun year with her.
