Loving Our Fall Saturdays

This is what we have been doing for the past couple of months on Saturdays.

Jordan involved in theatre productions and helping with the boys. Tom and Jackson doing Pop Warner football, Larson in Flag football, Mom cheering everyone on and always chasing Logan.

Jackson #11

This has been one of our favorite pictures this season. It is hard to see his face here but we have one blown up and we love his eyes in this one.

Jackson seems to have the big plays when he has one shoe on and one shoe off.

I'm starting to think that we need to buy his shoes smaller.
Tom, the water boy as I refer to him.

You would think that playing football in the Texas heat (we have not had a cool game the entire season) Jackson might lose some weight. That is so incorrect as he is now weighing in over 100 and I dont think he is stopping there. Very cool and weird at the same time to have your 10 year old son take over your own size.

Logan has declared that he will not cut his hair until Larson's team wins a game.

Ok, so I made that up but he will be the cutest little pirate for Halloween with all that hair.

Larson in full preparation for his game:
uniform: check

mothguard: check

cleats: almost check (he ran out on the field and yelled my cleats!!!! He had his slides on. Luckily we live 1 mile from the field)

black under eyes: check

team spirit: check

complete focus: check

First flag pull of the season: Larson Roberts
Ready to do it again

A little offense now:

The bottom right photo sets up the next pictures below. Last play of the game and they had to get a first down with pass only option. The defense rushed Larson and he had no choice but to let the ball fly. The little bully in front of him turned around and yelled at Larson and told him that he lost the game for them. That was far from the truth this game. Larson was one of the main reasons they were even in the game.

Immediate tears!
Tom and I first thought, yes!!! We have a kid that actually cares about the game and then we quickly told him to dry up the tears and show good sportsmanship. The coach huddled them together and told Larsons team, "This is what passion looks like, Larson put everything he had into this game".
Little Larson was so sad thinking he lost the game for his team but we were so proud of him out on that field.

Tears dried up and typical Larson wanted a photo shoot!
