This was a full on moment for Larson. He zigged and he zagged and he didnt stop running until he was in the endzone. I was so sad that I got there right after it happened. Tom was there to celebrate with him.
I was able to see this one later in the game go in.
Larson is just as much a cheerleader on the sidelines as he is a player on the field. This team was undefeated this season and made it to the finals. unfortunately they lost but it could not have been any closer of a game. There were lots of tears but all good sports they just have their hearts in it so much. Larson waited until we got into the car and his tears exploded. They did the very best that they could have done.
Win or lose, you still get snacks after the game!
So soccer weekend was pretty much like football. Not the outcome that they wanted so badly. The team only allowed 3 goals the entire season. The lowest of all teams. They won the first playoff game and lost by one goal to the only team that beat them in the regular season. Our boys were playing so hard. One boy broke his collar bone on our team.
Our coach told the boys that our trophys look exactly the same as the teams that beat us. The other team were all very good sports and that is a nice way to lose if that is going to be the end result.
Larson loves playing soccer and it is so much fun for us to watch him play and see his little face go so red from the non stop running that is involved.
Coach Bobby at the end of season football party said 4 things about Larson:
1) he notices that all the girls are always calling out Larson, Larson!
2)Larson is one of the nicest boys they know!
3)most coachable kid they have ever coached!
4)Larson never left a practice or game without coming to shake hands and thank his coaches!
Needless, to say we are very proud of you Larson!
