First week on Hilton Head 2010

We arrived on Hilton Head for our summer vacation.

So lucky to have Grampy and so many of the Roberts family here with us.

Always fun to have cousins together.
We have Aunt Sally with her daughters June and Jennifer and their families, David, Jonathon, Michael, David, Allie, and Jimmy. Uncle Chuck from VA, cousins Meghan, Kerry with baby Abagail, and Pierce, Uncle Chris, Aunt Mary, Grampy and Nana and our family

Happy Father's Day to my Dad, Grampy, and Tom!
3 men that know what family is all about.
Grampy was beaming all day just being with us all.

We spent the week at the Marriott Resort. The week was filled with so much family time. We were really able to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. Thats what vacation is for!

Our kids loved taking advantage of the clubs kid activities. Larson won the Limbo contest. He took it very seriously and it was not serious in the least bit but that is our Larson.
He also participated in a deck dance where he did the "sprinkler" and turned in circles for the entire song. He about did not stand up straight when the song ended.

Jackson and Jordan were far more picky about what they wanted to do. Shark tooth necklaces still win them all over.

Each day we would swim with Grampy in the lap pool they had a very cool lift that easily helped him in and out of the water.

Logan's favorite pool was the bubble pool. Each day he got more aggressive with his non fear of the pool. Each day got tougher for Tom and I to make sure he stayed safe. On the last day, he started to swim on his own with me right by his side.

Cousin Pierce, SOOOOO great with our kids. They love him very much.

Chris was very much in charge of the grills for the week. We had lots of food all week. So cool to grill out with the ocean behind you.

Super Larson!

First time ever, an entire week on Hilton Head and not one drop of rain or thunderstorm to chase us off of the beach! Such an incredible week.

Oldest Grandkid, Kerry holding her baby Abagail, the first great grandchild.

Tom and I just came off of 5 months of extreme schedules to finally being able to be with each other and the family, laugh and talk.

There was one adult night that was catered. We had Aunt Carla and Uncle Fred come up from St. Augustine and cousin Patty from Atlanta. Jim and Carol had some cousins be able to join and of course the Ahrendt side too. Aunt Sally and cousin Jennifer. Char and Tommy also joined us for the night. Tommy was the only one not related in some sort of way.

Grampy with 2 proud sons.

This is what you call, keeping all your ducks in a row" with Mama duck making sure that nobody gets left behind.
So thankful for this week with our family. So glad that Nana and Grampy could make the trip so soon after "the incident" as they call it.

Wheel Barrel Baseball

Jordan loves going to her youth group at church.
This was a young women/young men combined night. They played wheel barrel baseball.

This was the first time I have seen this. Not the safest event to participate in but we only saw blood on one kid so that was good.

If you ever have a group of kids together, a field and a wheel barrel, then this is a fun activity to do!

Cub Scout Day Camp

Jackson really loves his boy scout camp. So much that he still wanted to go to this camp when none of his buddies were able to go.
This camp was at Camp Mabry, a military base. This was pretty neat for him as there were tanks and military things all around. One of his favorite parts was the museum that they got to tour.
Larson cant wait to be able to attend this camp but not until he is 8. On the last day Larson could come and visit. Jackson was so kind to him and gave him some of his camp stuff that he had gotten.

Close by this camp is a nature preserve where peacocks always hang out.
This was Jackson last Cub Scout camp as next year he will join in with the Boy Scouts and be camping all the time.

Larson's Magic Show

Larson continued his hobby of doing magic tricks for the rest of his kindergarten year. He wanted to do shows for anyone and everyone. I promised him that when school was out he could do a magic show for the neighborhood.

School ended and he wanted to do his magic show. He made an invitation and he delivered them to friends.

Of course, he had a lovely assistant, his Mom.

Jordan made a magic music track, we had some refreshments, and a few decorations.

He didn't perform all of his tricks to the best of his ability but he was having so much fun, Just look at his face and you can see how happy he was.

For the Grand Finale he had a costume change and he made his brother and sister disappear and then he said "THE END" . Very very adorable!

It must have been magic because right at the end of the show, a big rainbow was right over our house.
I hope that Larson always keeps his magic!
