Trunk or Treat to Chicken Pox and Everything in Between

Jackson started his weekend by going to a Lone Star soccer clinic with Zane. I had to dig to find that athletic equipment. Then Zane spent the night with Jackson (& Larson)
As always, Saturday morning starts with Jordan's 8am game. She is totally into it now and pulling flags! She came running in for a high five from Tom but it looks like he is knocking her in the head.
What can I say? Larson cracks me up!

Uncle Chris keeps telling him he is not "normal". I just think he has a vibrant personality.

Not much to say about Jacksons game. He wasn't into it at all and I think we are trying to honor the Cincinnati Bengals and not win a game.

I had to explain to Jordan who I Dream of Jennie was. She made a great Jennie! This was my costume. I just had to make some adjustments but it worked.

A great Indiana Jones!
He's wearing my coat. I'm just glad that I could be of use.

Mr. Incredible!
This is Jacksons hand me down and when he wore it he was Dash but Larson insisted that he is Mr. Incredible.

Jordan had Ali come for our annual church trunk or treat. This is a fun activity for us each year. Some little carnival games, chili and hot dogs to eat, and then everyone decorates the trunks of their cars and hands out candy. It is kind of funny!

The weekend ended on a bad note with finding out that Logan has Chicken Pox. I am still a little in disbelief but I only have to take one look at him and reality hits. I have no idea where he got them and he has them pretty bad. Poor little guy. This will take a long time to get better. Just leave it up to this baby to try something different that his siblings didn't do. He is definitely making a statement that I am my own person even if I do look like them. I thought that Chicken Pox was a thing of the past. Just so everyone knows, babies don't get the vaccine until 12 mths. 3 mths too long for us!

2nd day- more popping up everywhere and the itching begins. How pitiful is this and he still gives me a smile!

Pumpkin Patch

We visited a little pumpkin patch with Larsons playgroup today. They had lots of pumpkins but that was about it. We thought there might be a little hay maze or something else for the kids to do. Hey, Mama was happy to get some pictures of the boys.

Jessica and Reece came with us! Paige, who is so awesome, made some pumpkin cupcakes for all the kids.
We left and just went to a park for the boys to picnic and play at the playground.

Good Morning

Weather turned cold in Austin last night and the kids got on winter PJ's. It felt like winter out this morning and it was so dark out with the clouds that we had a big snuggle morning. I had things to do before playgroup but the little boys and I just snuggled the morning away.
What a great start to the day!

Eagles Pep Rally

Marianna, Alli, & Jordan

Jordan got invited to go out on the field from one of the theatre teachers. She just thought that was so cool because only 7th and 8th graders were out on the field. She is a part of the One Act Play so they wanted her out there.
I had all the kids with me and they were so good. The band, cheerleaders, and dancers all performed. I was really surprised by the talent the groups all showed.
I obviously can not take pictures holding a wiggly baby in one arm!
The weather was perfect, the Pep Rally was good and the kids and I had a great night together.
Go Eagles!

The Primary kids had their Sacrament program today. I was most proud of how all 3 of them were so reverent sitting up on the stand with more than 100 other kids. The boys did well with their little parts and Jordan's small solo was very good. I love the song she sang: If The Savior Stood Beside Me

This was our last Sunday with our big ward. Next Sunday we will stay Anderson Mill Ward but half of our congregation will be in a newly formed ward. I think that it will be weird to be so small but it had to be done and that only means things are progressing.

Our Cute Halloween cat that isnt so cute. He actually bit both Logan and Larson this weekend for no reason. As much as he loves and plays with the kids he still will turn around and be such a mean kitty.

Saturday night was so fun with watching the Texas and South Carolina games at the same time. Texas had a blowout and stay #1 but the Gamecocks took a loss to LSU.

Haircuts for the boys today. I dont know how we let it get so long!
Jackson just got a trim so it is hard to tell he got his cut but we took Larsons short again. I cant decide if I like his shorter or long so we get it cut and then I just let it grow out each time.

We took the kids to this fancy kids salon and they were having an anniversary celebration. The kids got popcorn and snow cones. They had jumpy tents and Larson got to go into the little gym next door. Of course he loved running wild in there. Larson dresses himself and 9 out of 10 times he matches. Today was the 1 out of 10. Tie dye and plaid hurts the eye but at least the colors matched.

Jordan going Gothic on us.

The big kids hanging out waiting on Larson to come out of the gym. About 6 months ago, I had the realization that I have different age groups in kids. I have the older 2, Larson, and the baby. It was weird to me that Jordan and Jackson were too old to be in this little gym. They did not complain and enjoyed their snow cones.

Our Saturdays start so early with Jordans 8am game each week. This game was so much fun to watch. Jordan was running the ball this week! I do not know what got into her. She was having fun. They even got a W for the books!

Jackson's game not as much fun to watch. They are trying so hard but still have not won a game. I know that it is just for fun but the boys are down a little and would love to win a game so we will look forward to next week.

This will be my statement for Logans weekend: He is becoming a wild boy and can not wait to run with his siblings!

Friday night Uncle Chris came and took Jackson and Larson to the school fall festival. They had fun but no pictures. We had a big dinner late back at the house.

Jordan had play practice. I brought the kids snacks today and just hung out to do some crowd control. It was fun to see what she had been working on for so many weeks already.
Today was hat day at school, hence the crazy hats.

Its Sunday night: Tom is in Miami for business, the kids are in bed, and that is where I should be! This was a good weekend for us.

Colby's Homecoming

This was the first year that Colby was picked for the Homecoming court and I was so lucky to be able to be there. Got to love the burnt orange dress that she picked!

Logan was able to be with Aunt Char again and sleep on her 100% pure Egyptian sheets. Can he really tell the difference in quality? Not sure but he sleeps better in her bed than anywhere else.

Our good friend Mr. Bell was her escort with burnt orange tie and all! It did rain the entire weekend so the festivities got moved in doors. Not for good pictures since I do not know how to do the lighting on my camera. Colby did not get Queen but she is our Homecoming Queen anyway.

Can you tell what this picture is?? Its me getting a 2 hour massage from my sister with baby Logan down below my head. You have to do what you have to do! My sister always spoils me and this was so nice of her.
We had such a fun weekend even with the rain. We ate at a few of our favorite restaurants. Golden Corral being one of them. The best Chocolate pie anywhere, she declares! We visited with some friends. Char works at a gym now so I had a workout with a personal trainer. That was really fun and really hard. I had never been able to do that before. Sore arms still today!
We watched some movies and ate our normal junk food while the rain came down. I just loved being with Char and Colby. It was a short 4 days but I took in every minute and was so glad that Char had us come!
Logan just being one of the guys watching the South Carolina Gamecocks win over Kentucky. What a great football day with their win and Texas!

Our Morning Routine

He's sitting with a little help from a wall.

He is getting so big! The infant stage is far gone! That's OK with me. I love this cuddly stage so much!

Notice the jacket and blankets?? (by the way, I love fall clothes on the kids) October is here and so is our 40 degree fluctuations in the temps most days. We started off at 58 at the school bus and ended up at 90. OK so that is only 32 degrees but regardless we always have to layer and then peel them off. I have loved and hated this double stroller all at the same time. I have loved having Larson and Logan go for runs with me. Our new routine is to run Larson to school and then Logan and I come back by ourselves. The boys are outside, we save on gas, and I get my run in! The hate part is that it is literally 60 lbs in front of me with few flat stretches. It just makes me feel so out of shape.
