Christmas Cruise

Carnival Triumph
This is the kids first cruise ever.  They had to wait 2 weeks after knowing they were going but that made it kind of exciting.  We drove down to Galveston and when they first saw how big the ship was, they were ready to go!
It was a beautiful day in TX and warm enough to set sail.  I was really excited because I had wanted Tom and I to take the kids on a cruise for a long time.

OK, so not warm enough for me to get in the water yet like this crazy kid.  He loved the slide from the beginning.

We spent the next few hours walking around the ship.  They were really in awe at all the different parts of the ship.  Jordan and I stayed outside and watched the Katie Perry movie on the deck.  That was such a cool way to spend a couple hours with Jordan.
On to our first night in the dinning room.
Nothing could make the Roberts boys happier than being able to eat anything they want and not be told  "Kitchens Closed"
A phrase that has become very common in our household.
Woke up the next morning and we were somewhere in the middle of the Caribbean.  I loved watching the kids take it all in.  It was very warm, the water was very blue, and we were ready for a very fun day at sea.
Jordan and I started off with a run on the deck.  It was so very windy that we went really fast in one direction and then could barely move one foot in front of the other in the other direction.  I thought it was fun and hilarious, Jordan was just getting ticked off.  The best part for me was knowing very soon I would be eating at the breakfast bar.

We spent the day on deck.  There was swimming, eating, some resting, and of course the hairy man contest.  Larson would wonder off every once in a while to a kids camp.   Logan was MIA most of the day as we loved being in the kids camps.  Logan and I checked on him one time and he couldn't see us. It was hysterical, he was in a dance off and was in it to win it.  We left him there to continue.
I think Carnival lost money on the Roberts kids with the ice cream alone.

Weren't we just doing this??

Logan came back with his ring pop from kids camp and found a little friend in his cabin.

Sitting at the first show.  The kids liked it but they seriously loved the comedian the best.  It was pretty funny.

Formal night even though the ties forgot to get in the suitcase.

Consider this our family formal portrait.  Logan didn't even make it 5 mins into the show before he was asleep.  Way too big of a day for him.

So glad that Aunt Char could come with us.

Logan was trying to eat dinner but just couldn't stay awake.  The waiter brought table clothes and made a bed for him on the floor.  That was all good until the waiters all started to sing and that woke him up again.

Larson loved eating dinners in the dining room.
He said it was all fancy.

Logan got the camera here!

I actually loved the dinners too Larson.  It was so fun to see everyone laughing and having a great time!

IM A BOY!  NOT A GIRL!
ok so the waiters going by were all confused by the long hair.

Our statue of liberty!

Loving every minute of this family trip.

I didnt know they allowed monkeys to get off of the ship.

We got off the ship and walked down the street a little.  I thought I remembered a beach from 20 years ago when Tom and I were in Cozumel.  I had to admit that I couldn't find it and we jumped into a taxi to this fun little beach that Char knew about.
Paradise Beach

This place was paradise.  The entire compound was amazing.
The pool was beautiful but I have a hard time being at a pool when the ocean is right there.

Jordan wearing her new Juicy she got for Christmas.
Yummy Mexican lunch on the beach.

A happy Mom and Dad seeing the kids have so much fun.
Sure, you can have whatever you want on this vacation.
Wait!  No!  We are off the ship, we have to pay for those frozen drinks.
So this beach had all the inflatables they could play on.  Total fun for them.
At one point, Tom had the kids all out there.  Im up at the beach and I see the black sky behind us.  I get all of our stuff under shelter just in time for it to pour.  Tom was out with the kids trying to get everyone back to the beach.  All was good.  Kids dont mention the baby's bleeding foot that got cut on the coral that Dad drug him through!

Rain lasted 10 mins and then back to having fun!

This was not a snorkeling beach but they wanted to go out and try anyway.  There were a few fish here but nothing too exciting.

We wanted to have time to take the kids into town so we had to pack up and say goodbye to the beach. Larson wanted to take this coconut with him.

A school of blowfish

The kids loved all the stores and were having a blast buying all the trinkets

I get to travel a lot but I love being able to do it with the kids.
I was so happy on this trip.
We picked up these bandannas for Logan so he can use them while playing sports.  Of course, Larson got some for his fashion wardrobe.
Drama #1 and #2 of the family.

Headed back to the ship after a great day in Cozumel.

Another beautiful day at sea.  Tom was really excited to know that there was not going to be any loud dance music blaring all day on deck but instead he got to watch 2 playoff games on the big screen.  It was great watching the games cruising in the Caribbean.
Logan came back a zebra from kids camp.  He also met Funship Freddy, the cruise mascot.  He fell in love with him.  Here is a tattoo of him and his face was painted like Funship.

Miniature golf was fun!

Last dinner before getting back to Galveston.
Everything was perfect!

Yes, this was the ship that was just stranded in the Caribbean.  So thankful that was not us!
So thankful that we were able to take this family vacation!
