King Tut

A happy boy, his Quest project has been presented.
You can see the open side of the pyramid that Jackson paper mached. I bought the supplies and he created this on his own.

This was the product that he came up with for helping solve a problem. The problem being that the tombs were being robbed of their treasures. Having wanted posters back then may have helped to capture some of these robbers. Do you love the fact that he could not wait to take the picture of his siblings being the robbers?!

This was a project that was started in January. His Quest class first studied Ancient Egypt and were each given a sub topic to research. His being King Tut! They first had to have 50 written facts, followed by many organization techniques. They had to have "moving information" somewhere on the board. He did a spin wheel and a pop up book. The Wanted poster was his product and with lots of cool supplies from his Nana he finished the board. (Did I mention how many hours I personally had in this project?) I don't know who is more relieved, Jackson or Mom. On May 12th he will have his displayed with all of the other Quest students for a Quest Fair.
Pretty intense project for a second grader but I am sure that this will help him be successful with all class presentations that he will forever have.

Small Milestones

The kids were so excited to see Logan on his tummy and holding his head up. You would have thought he just learned how to ride his bike! I seem to get allot of pictures of all 4 because they always want to when Logan is included.
Before the big kids got home, Larson, Mom, and Logan were just playing on the floor. We discovered that Logan really did like the floor action. He is just held so much or in his bouncy chair that we haven't had him on his tummy much. Larson was so entertained because we would put Logan on his stomach, Logan would get his head up and look around and then roll over to his back. He did this 5 times in a row. Larson thought that we had trained Logan on this new trick.

He will be wrestling with his brothers before we know it!

3 Brothers Minus One Sister

We had a couple of minutes before leaving for church. The kids looked good and I wanted to take a quick picture of them. Jordan did not match the boys so I did not let her in the picture. Just kidding! She would not get in the picture so I just took the boys and she did not care at all.
The boys can still easily be persuaded but our girl certainly has a mind of her own.

Tigers on a Sugar High

Last week the kids came home with a flyer from school about the Steiner Ranch Blue Bonnet festival. It sounded like fun so off we went. They forgot to mention that it was scattered all throughout the community at all the model homes to get people to buy in Steiner. Oh well, we went ahead and did the little scavenger hunt. At each model home there would be some kind of event and food. We let them start off with hot dogs, chips, and sprite. Then they went on to have cotton candy, pop corn, funnel cakes, and snow cones.

There was a balloon guy like I have never seen before. A kid would ask for a dog or dinosaur and he would pretend to be making that but then it would end up being a huge octopus or and alien. He did the best hermit crab for another kid.
Ok, Larson insisted on a sword and of course this guy did not like doing the "normal" creations. He made a very unique sword for Larson that was bigger than him. Jackson had a huge hammer made to hit Larson on the head and Jordan ended up with a magic 8 ball with a real cube inside of it. He was totally entertaining.

We were laughing that we just let the kids go wild but we really had fun doing all of this.

Larson gets a "shortcut"

BeforeAfter
Yes, Larson calls a haircut a shortcut. Boy does he have a head full of hair. It was way past time for the haircut. The girl still did not get it as short as I would have liked because it just grows so fast.
What a handsome boy!

School Carnival

Mariana, Ali, and Jordan-BFF

Larson is a huge fan of anything inflatable.

Jackson was such a good big brother to help Larson with games that night.
After 3 years of doing this carnival, I have decided that I don't have that much fun. The kids are totally into it but they love any entertainment. It is a total rip off with the price of tickets, long lines, and pretty much mass chaos with tons of people. Now, that Jordan will be at the middle school I can probably coax the boys into going and doing something else. We will have to wait until next year to see if the Roberts are in attendance at the school carnival or not!

Logan 3 months old

Logan at 12 weeks is so lovable that it is hard to get anything accomplished in a day. He is growing so fast and I just love to take the time to enjoy him every day. Besides getting plumper and more smiley he doesn't have any more tricks. Oh, he does, 2 days ago he started to laugh out loud. Of course, I am tickling him to death to hear him. Oh, I just love that sound! I did it for the kids when they got home from school. The smiles and surprise on their faces was such a great moment. Logan, we are so lucky that you became a part of our family.
I had to retire is 0-3 month clothes. I loved all of his new stuff but just too small. Now we break out all his surfer dude clothes for the summer.

Logan being 4th in the pecking order

Logan, remember being 4th has some major advantages. Mom being on top of the game is not one of them. I was giving him a bath this morning and realized I had not taken a picture of his bath time. I promise, this was not his first bath at 12 weeks. Just the first documented pics of him fresh and clean! Can't you smell the baby lotion now!

The Color Factory

Jackson was a narrator for his 2nd grade play. He had allot to memorize!!! He really did a good job!

Jackson, I enjoyed seeing your play today!

Last weeks update

We have started to spend some more time at the pool now that it is getting very warm. Now if I could just get Jackson to buy his own sunglasses at the store. He insist he cant find a pair that he likes but then he always takes mine. The water is way too cold for me but kids just want to have fun!

Logan has a completely square face here.

At one point all 3 of the boys were sleeping at the pool. I don't know what that was all about but it sure was nice for Mom.

I have a dream of a pool in our back yard but we sure are lucky to have such nice community pools to go to.

Larson had "Claires" as he calls her over last Wednesday. They had a great time together. I am sad that the pictures are not so good. She is such a cutie!

The kids all participated in a primary activity where they wrote letters to missionaries and put together humanitarian kits.
Larson was so excited! (aren't all Sunbeams?)
Jackson was totally indifferent however, he did like the pizza and cookies at the end.
Jordan was just glad that she could talk her friend Alley into coming with her.

In between, baseball, hip hop, cub scouts, achievement, school, church, we manage to find time to just hang out at home and have some down time.

A quick update

Jackson looks exactly like his Dad at this age, in this picture.

Last Saturday Uncle Chris, Nana, and Grapmy took the kids to Zilker Park while Tom, Logan, and I went to dinner and to see the movie 21. We loved the movie by the way! Logan slept the entire time!

Here are Grampy and Nana standing on Chris' deck overlooking the lake. We had a great 2 weeks with them here. Thank you for all the time you spent with the kids!

We have just been schedule as usual this week. We have been busy with baseball, cub scouts, hip hop, and achievement. We have 8 more weeks of school and I have started the count down. I think that I am always more anxious for it to end than the kids. I am just ready for a break from all of the projects.

Logan is doing well. For being so small he is making up with a major weight gain. He is 10lbs. 11oz. and has some little fat rolls on the crease of his legs. He is soooo cuddly now!
