Larson Loving T-ball

Snack- Most important part of the game!

Game on!

He thinks that he is in the majors although I dont think that he has made a single out this season.

He loves to bat. Just needs to understand that you may not get an at bat in every inning. He thinks he is being short changed when he doesnt get to bat.

Loves to get on base and then shakes his hips a little to do a celebration dance. Also loves to taunt the opposing player by jumping off the base quite often.

Larson is always ready in the outfield even if the ball is not even close to him. Larson is playing 3rd base and ball hit to right field. No problem, Larson just runs to right field. Larson, who is covering 3rd???
His other rule breaking infraction: loves to tag runners even after time has been called and he doesnt even have the ball.

OK, so Larson has some rules and skills to learn but its T-ball after all and we are all having a blast with this one!

Logan Walking

He sure took his time but at 15 months we can say he is finally walking. He isnt always very balanced but he gets better each day. Now the chase will be on!!!! Logan needs to learn that his Mom is a runner and he wont get too far before I catch up.

Rocker Pierce Comes to Austin

Cousin Pierce was in town for one night with his band Kingdom. Larson got tattoos on everyone and we headed to Uncle Chris for a short visit. The kids wanted to go see him play downtown Austin but we will save that for when they are a little older. It was great to see Pierce.

Silence Always Equals Trouble

Logan helped himself to two boxes of cereal, one juice box, and cheeseballs.
What was I doing???
He will continue in raccoon mode for the next 6 months, I am sure.

Six Flags 2009 Season Pass

We cant pass up such a great deal for season passes. Just wish it were in Austin and not San Antonio. They have a cute new section for the Wiggles World. Larson liked it and I am sure that Logan will too!
When it is just me and the kids, the big kids have to be flexible and they do a great job with that. I can still coax them to do a baby ride so that they are just being good to the little ones. Jackson really cant wait to hit all the extreme rides as he is tall enough for them all!

Buddy's Food Storage

We love our Kumquat tree!!
Each year we trim it back because it is taking over the side of the house and I think that helps produce more fruit each year. This year, there have been so many.
There is just something about a beautiful morning, walking outside and picking fresh fruit from your own tree. Its funny to just see the boys outside and stopping for a snack. Its like this- the boys are always hungry so now instead of bugging me- I just send them out to the tree.
I don't have very good food storage skills so I have to count this as something. Just hope that if a time in need arrives it will be fruit bearing season! Oh, I have a back up plan, we will just have to go to the pantry shelves and make one of the 10 boxes of brownies that we have stored up!

What will I be when I Grow Up?

Right now, Pirate is high on the list although I am not sure they are in the fortune 500 companies.
Ooh Laa Laa, maybe a Mermaid???

or a hard construction worker

I love flying in planes. After all, you get a snack and drink to go along with that high priced ticket.

An Artist- I love art -- any kind of art!!
A PostMan! I dont think so- I would have to become much much crabbier than I ever could be.

The options are endless. For now I will concentrate on starting Kindergarten next year and just keep living the Pirates Life!

Spring Break 09

We had a good break in Hilton Head with our family. Mom and Dad got to come as well as Jackie and kids, Kathe and Sean. We were just missing Ash and Brian and of course that Grandma Boyd who thinks spending the winter in Canada with tons of snow is fun. We missed you.

The 6 Littlest Cousins

Jordan, Sage, Jackson, Haylee, Larson, and Logan

Hilton Head Island, not always known for warm weather during spring break. So what to do with 10 days and no beach or pool weather???
Finding playgrounds and ice cream was high on the list.

Dressing warmly and going to chase Sea Gulls. Just way too cold to be out there and of course Jackson is the one to get his pants wet. I knew someone would do it!

Me and my Sissys at Harbor Town

Harbor Town playground with Colby and Sean even though he was not around for pictures.

St. Patricks Day Parade on Hilton Head

These were the warmest two days, so we ventured out to let them play. I was cold but the kids didnt seem to mind. They love the water and waves but the sand works for them also.
Thanks Aunt Char for bringing us to Hilton Head for Spring Break!

Our Boys

Even though they are 9, 5, and 1,
the two little ones think they are all 9.
Jackson is such a good Big Brother to them both!

Jackson's 9th Birthday

March 8th
We made a decision that after 10 years of doing kids parties every year that we were going to go to every other year. So, I will do the little guys one year and the older two the next. Now, don't feel sorry for them because they still get tons of attention and activities from our "family only" parties.
Jackson had a Star Wars theme

His birthday was on Sunday so that included church but Jackson just goes with the flow. Then he played around until Uncle Chris and Keena came over. His request was for my homemade taco dinner so that is very time consuming but oohh so yummy.
Jackson got some money, leggos, a new batting helmet and some other outdoor things. He enjoyed his special day. Jordan just kept asking why Jackson was so quiet? She said if it were my b-day I would be bouncing off of the walls and so excited all day long. She stated the obvious- Jackson- quiet Jordan- never quiet

Logan and I joined Jackson for lunch on Monday. I brought him lunch from Subway and 2 dozen chocolate Dunkin Doughnuts to share with his class.

I Think He Loves Her

She cant get enough of him
(unless he messes with her CD player, or when he screams really loud, or when he begs for food that she is eating, or when he stinks)
