Logan's 6th Birthday- Part One

Happy Birthday Logan!

Mommy had to jump through a couple of hoops but you got your Skylander party.

Logan had a calendar since Christmas he was marking day by day for his birthday countdown.

We chose Pump It Up because it is a party place with bigger and better slides and jumps, etc .  The other party places seem a little young.
This was the cyclone machine.  The kids would get in and the cyclone would come.  They loved it  but they would cover their ears because it was too loud.

Logan got 2 hours to have continuous fun with his friends.
The slides are big enough for adults so I took a couple of runs with Logan and his friends.
He was able to invite his kindergarten class and some extra friends.
45 minutes of the party was done glow in the dark with disco balls and music.  Everyone LOVED this!!!

To the party room.

Basically, we called this the "present mob".  The kids were all too excited to give Logan their present.
He really had fun with everyone.

 A birthday doughnut cake!
This party was at 9:00 in the morning.
Doughnuts, juice, and milk was on the menu.
All the kids had smiles on their faces.  The party was really fun for all of them.

Jackson was the only one to be able to make it.
Jordan was sooooo sad she missed her little brothers party.  She was at the SAT.
Larson had a basketball game so he kept his commitment there.
The celebration would continue for the weekend so they would be able to spend more time together.

This guy is called "Motion of the Potion" and he gives the party a big thumbs up.

So does this guy.
He is melting my heart here.
Thank you to Pump It Up for giving Logan this special blow up party hat that he now wore the rest of the weekend.
Guess what we spent our Saturday doing?

Its Hot, Its Cold, Its Hot, Then Cold - Austin Winter

This winter has been crazy.  Warm, cold, warm, cold.
One day we have on our swimsuits (heated pool) and then we break out the snowsuits (or whatever we can find to keep us warm)

Then the next day Larson has Bracken over and we need to break out the winter wear to play basketball (I did say whatever we could find to keep warm)

Then the weekend comes and Im out on our top deck enjoying the sun.

or enjoying a hike adventure in Austin.

ice cold water but very warm air and hot sun.

Spider Man, Spider Man.

I was getting onto Jackson because he was teasing his brother and Jackson runs over and says "I love you Mama"!
(notice the heart shaped rock he is holding)
He has a quick way with words.

THEN THIS!!!!
still notice the week from 28 to 77.

 Kids got a snow day.
Yes, this is a snow day.
I know my Canadian family is laughing right now but come on this is deep in Texas!

You improvise.  Guess what the boogie board actually worked.  Im not sure what they were sliding on (I guess it was a little icy but it worked)

The snow stuck a little on the golf tee box.
Heres the evidence:  a little ice on Jordan's car, some snow on the palm, and the basketball got stuck in the frozen net.

Yes, I could see some flakes but very hard to see them.

Jordan likes wearing the cute scarves and coats.

And everyone likes the hot chocolate!

Today was another 80 degree day.  The family was out playing in the warm weather.
Tomorrow, high of 50
So there you go, sometimes it gets confusing.   The kids never know what to wear for the next day.
Jackson has the answer to that.  80 or 30 he just  wears shorts and a t-shirt.

Hunting

It was Larsons turn to go hunting with Uncle Chris.
I never know what to really say on these hunting post.  I know that the boys are always excited to go and that they have a good time.

They found this lost puppy on the ranch.  Im sure that Larson wishes he could have brought her home .

So this is the story on Larsons first pig.  He saw the pig, he was able to sneak up on it.  He took the shot, he hit it, but then realized later he was already hit by another hunter.
So in reality, Larsons first kill was already dead.
I guess it is a good story.

Family Pictures

Thank You soooo much to our favorite photographer.
We had talked about doing Austin family pictures many times.
As soon as Tracey knew she was moving we set the date.  I wanted to capture some Urban pics of Austin.  She did another amazing job!
I love this family!
(I wonder if our next family pictures might be taken in N.C.???, hmm I wonder)
