Birthdays at Disney

I think that I am the best Mom ever.  Others may not agree with that but this Mom maneuvering was a win win for Mom, Larson, and Logan.
I am so over having big kids birthday parties with tons of kids attending.
It took a little creative salesmanship on my part with Logan but what kid doesn't want to skip school and go to DISNEY for their birthday?!!!

(plus I got to see my bestie for a night in Orlando)

Sam joining us on this trip to Disney, sealed the deal for Logan.  He was so excited to be able to be with Sam.  This was turning out to be the coolest birthday ever.

So this pretty much escalated the "Fun Friday" efforts.
Tracey was the best, easiest, most fun Disney partner.
So thankful that she drove down from NC with Sam to join us.

Larson didn't have to be convinced at all.  I mentioned Disney instead of party and he said, "When do we leave?"

Logan's favorite:  Stitch.   Stitch was his favorite long before Jordan moved to Hawaii.

We started our day off with character breakfast at the Polynesian.
Spent the afternoon at Downtown Disney.

Lego store

Lunch at the T-Rex

Thank you Tracey for finding this gem!  We spent the evening at Fort Wilderness camp ground.
A good ole cowboy round up, Tangled under the stars, and roasting marsh mellows with Chip and Dale.
(Chip was the very chipmunk that told Tom I was pregnant with Jordan)

I love everything about Disney and this one one more thing to love since I had never done this before.  The boys, Tracey, and I had such a fun night!

Next morning we headed over to the Magic Kingdom.
We were able to ride the new mine train with the Seven Dwarfs 4 times as soon as the park opened without very little wait time.  Great new addition to the park.  Everyone loved it.

No lines for Dumbo either.  Love the way Disney has redesigned to make those dreaded lines disappear.

Thunder Mountain
Splash Mountain, where we really got splashed!

So, there is a very funny story that goes with the boys wearing their Happy Birthday buttons (or not wearing them)  Disney will give you BDay buttons to wear if its your birthday and it did not take long to figure out that every single cast member must immediately wish you a happy birthday as soon as they see the button.  It was cracking Tracey and I up.  Well, Larson proudly wore his and said thank you every time.  Logan was so scared that he would lose his button so he did not want to wear it.  Well, if your not wearing a button how are they suppose to know its your bday.  Everyone would say happy birthday to Larson and Logan would say, "hey, its my birthday too!"  Took him about half of the day to understand and get over his thoughts of losing it to start wearing it and hearing all the happy birthdays Logan!!!

As Tracey said, we did this all for the kids!
(a year later and we still talk about what a great time we all shared)

Even the Jungle Ride had all new jokes!

Plane sharing a little message overhead.

We certainly had a picture perfect day at the Magic Kingdom.  Short lines, good weather, fun doing new rides, great company and about a million Happy Birthdays pronounced upon Larson and Logan.
Finishing out the night in tomorrowland.

We stayed until closing and it was quite a trip back to the car.  We all made it and then this immediately happened.

They even slept all the way back to Austin on the plane the next morning.
We could not have possible snuck in one more thing in a 48 hour period.  So much fun!!!
Loved sharing this time with my L's.
