Easter 2011

Something new for this Easter. Yvette Fuller came out to the house and helped the Mia Maids make these unbelievably cute sugar eggs. I have a very small memory of doing this with my Mom.

The girls loved this activity (so did Larson as he weaseled his way in too).
Yvette is so awesome to always be sharing her talents with the girls.

Youth group Easter Egg hunt.
Tracy Hansen just want you to know that you rock and loved this idea. Im sure it will be used a few more times as my kids are getting older now.
So the eggs are hidden, but only one goes at a time. Inside each egg is a treat but also directions on how the next egg has to be retrieved. On a spoon, hopping on one leg, blind folded with a caller, etc. We had 4 colored teams racing against each other.
Great idea for older kids.
A little traditional egg dying. Fun to see Logans excitement as he is old enough to understand the concept. Not old enough to understand that plopping eggs in dye makes big splashes.
Jackson completely into the egg dying but for other reasons. He loves to eat hard boiled eggs.

We spent Easter weekend in San Antonio. It is the only weekend without sports or play practices and Tom just needed a break from studying.

Logan has seen the Shamu show two times now and really likes it.

Thanks Jackson for entertaining Logan the entire time before the show started.
We spent allot of time at the water park. It is actually a very nice one. Of course, we still have to split up as Logan cant do the crazy rides.

There are a few things that we can still do together in the waterpark but mostly Tom and the big kids go to the rides.
Im content hanging with Logan.

Logan loves doing the little slides so hopefully that means that his courage will always stick to the height requirements and he will be on big rides with the entire family before we know it.

Yes, we had a suite with beds for everyone but this is how it always goes.

The Easter Bunny found the hotel room.

Fun baskets for each kid and Easter grass everywhere.

We got an extra surprise when we got home. The bunny must be smart enough to realize 100 degree weather in cars and chocolate dont do well together.

We needed a weekend together like this. Everything gets so busy at this time of the year.
So it wasnt all about the fun and Easter Bunny. We spent the week reflecting on our Saviour Jesus Christ. Had a great Family Home Evening lesson and Bro. Allen shared a great lesson with us to think about all week.

Thanks for sharing the Easter Egg hunt for older kids. So fun. I love having a weekend with just the family! Life does get crazy (and I'm sure even more as the kids get older). Cute family pics, as usual!
