Boys Basketball 2011

Jackson's confidence continues to grow on the court.
He's been playing on the same team for many seasons now.
There was one team that was not from Steiner that would give them a run for their money. It was good and bad. Good because it made the boys play much harder and it was real competition. It made for 3 very exciting games! Bad because each game was intense and would wear the boys out. The other team was not always so nice. Our team tied them the first time and the second game was close. The 3rd time they played them, second half became a blowout. It was still very good experience because the other Steiner teams were no competition for our team.
Jackson always hustled, tried his best on offense, and was a pretty good defensive player.
Jackson continues to like playing basketball. His games were really fun to watch this season. Its like a real basketball game out there now.

Larson doesn't think that he is a professional basketball player (YET) but he does pretend that he is a Harlem Globetrotter.
This was his first season playing basketball.
Very different type of game than Jacksons 5th grade team.
It is very entertaining and will make you laugh.
Before he even went to his first practice he was writing plays for his coach.
He was serious too!
So Larson starts his season and like everything he does he gives 100 percent.
When your in 1st grade, you dribble the ball down all the way to the far corner and get trapped and then all of your team mates just yell PASS, PASS, PASS. The poor kid is surrounded by opposing players and cant get the ball off. Very little passing occurs at this point in the game.
Larson learned a pivot early on and it was hilarious to watch his moves but it worked.
Larson was all over the court and loved when the ball would go in the net.
By the end of the season Larson was actually using skills he was learning to be a smart player.

We love this kids enthusiasm and good sportsmanship.
We will always remember you out there screaming PASS PASS to all of your team mates.
(the cool thing about that was you were actually always open).
Way to go boys!
